We choose to use an expensive shampoo from our local Health Food store. The expense is our decision, but I still find it hard to pay so much for shampoo.
We like it though and feel good that the ingredients in it are not as harmful to our family health as that in many other shampoos readily available for way less.
One way that I have found to make it lather and last - longer, is to divide one bottle of shampoo into two bottles.
Then fill each bottle with water.
Shake and use as usual.
The result is great. Perhaps even better than before.
And the shampoo lasts longer. I promise.
It's like getting two bottles for the price of one.
Ah, spoken like a true frugal twofer lover, don't you think?

Hi, Darlene,
I like your idea of doubling your shampoo. I'm always in the market for ideas to help stretch my budget, particularly on consumable items. I don't mind paying extra for something of better quality, like the shampoo, but if I can get twice the mileage from it that is certainly helpful.
Do you have any other suggestions? I used to receive Country magazine and there was a column that gave suggestions like yours. I always enjoyed learning from the tips of others. Thank you for the shampoo idea.
Blessings!

Definitely like your idea of doubling your shampoo. I am trying to live a healthier life in food and products...and am a vegetarian...and always amazed at how much 'healthy' can cost...any way to spread the costs is so helpful!

Sounds very wise and economical to me. I have done this with liquid laundry detergent. It works great.
