Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem

Psalm 122:5 For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces

A Good Example

Conservative MP Maurice Vellacott (Saskatoon-Wanuskewin) presents a valid argument, citing bullying as beginning against the weakest among us, the unborn in the womb.

Abortion is bullying at its worst. Let's support this challenge, follow his lead and put an end to "bullying" the unborn children.

Vellacot valiantly sets an example of manliness in his defense of our most vulnerable people.

An MP in standing strong in defense of his countrymen, protecting the sanctity of life.

Praise God for stalwart men in leadership.

Marking Milestones - May 27, 2012 - Graduation

The last weekend in May was full. Our hearts we filled ... and so was our rain gauge!

On May 27 & 28, we celebrated God's grace & work in Brayden's life and accomplishments.

Saturday was his Grade 12 Graduation celebration, the way he wanted it -- with just Grandparents and family. Both sets of Grandparents stayed in their campers on the yard. It looked like a park! ... hey, "we live at the park."

The evening entertainment was provided by Brayden, his Dad & his two older brothers ... along with the rest of the local 60 voice Adult Community Choir. Ten wonderful worship songs plus instrumental interludes directed us to God in worship & praise.

Mother Everyday

Yesterday was Mother's Day ... did you have a good one?

Today, I read this ... and I thought to share it with you:

A MOTHER'S CONFESSION!

I am not languishing. I am not deceived. I have a vision. I know who I am and who God created me to be. I know my purpose. I am walking in the perfect will of God.

I know it’s not easy, but I’ve counted the cost. My goal is set. How could my career be easy when I am influencing a nation for God, generations to come--and eternity? How can it be easy when I am destroying the... plans of the devil? Such is the power of my God-mandated career, the highest calling ever given to women—motherhood.

I have embraced my calling. I am not intimidated by my antagonists. I will not be moved. My heart is fixed. I may be hidden in my home, but look out world! I am sharpening my arrows. I am getting them ready to shoot forth and destroy the adversary. In the power and anointing of God, I am advancing God’s Kingdom.

Picture Words

Picture words are much easier to post than word pictures!

Sigh! We need a new camera!

At least it is still on warranty ... now to get to the city to do the exchange.

Leather Floor?

Nope, it's brown paper bag flooring...that looks like leather! Google it.

The boys have been re-doing our bedrooms. Fixing & painting walls, new flooring & trim etc.

This is what our finished floors look like -- though the trim is not done yet etc.

We rather like it.

We have already noticed that it is considerably warmer than our laminate floors.

We'll have to live on it to see how durable it is, but testimonials we read say that it is very durable. We'll give it a go! If it scratches, we can always add another coat of finish ... or cover it with rugs, lino etc.

At less than $100 per room, it was worth the try. Loads of experience. Tons of fun. A learning experience.

... And learning & lovin' it, is what we're all about here at Live'n'Learn Farm.
