Grandma's Gift

Our little Faith in a cute little outfit from Grandma Wiebe... Thank you, Grandma!

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and cometh down from te Father of lights..." James 1:17

We were thrilled to discover that Faith's second name, Mattaya, which means "gift of God" has the same meaning as Grandma's name. It was only after we named her and told Grandma her name that we found out from Grandma herself that their names have the same meaning ... both "Olga" (Grandma's name) and "Mattaya" mean "gift of God". How special is that?

God is good all the time. Unintentional orchestration, evidence of His hand at work in our lives!

Oh, she's growing! She looks adorable in that sleeper!
So, are the boys still skating down the highway or has the ice melted?

The smile that Corbyn captured on camera was one of those involuntary smiles that babies do, but it sure does add "maturity" to the photo...she is growing up fast though, just like all the rest!

The guys never actually skated on the highway - just the few moments while Ken was taking the picture ... but we thought it would definitely "make a memory".

The ice? It's now under a layer of packed snow ... These roads are not nice! Bits are driven off/melted off and hwy. #1 is mostly clear with patches of ice that still send vehicles into the ditch. We try to stay off the roads, thankfully there's not much calling us away.

AWE! She is so cute! I just want to pick her up and cuddle her!

Skating on the highway ~ my brother & sil sent pictures like that from Blumenort area too. Guess it hit a big area.

"Ohhhh Mom, can we go visit them?" Does this say anything about how cute and cuddly baby Faith is? She is such a sweet baby. God has truly blessed you once again. This blessing isn't only different because she's a girl, but also because everyone in your family is old enough to truly enjoy her. Have fun.

Thanks Karen & Margaret for your sweet comments about Faith. We do consider ourselves incredibly blessed ... these 7 times over already, to God be the glory!

Margaret - my first response is "Please do!" (come "play dolls" with us, that is - and visit). My second response is that your comment was so "you" ... sharing a quote of your children (makes me homesick for a good visit with you again too).

Karen: The ice? Was a pretty widespread affliction across the province I think.
