Wondering Wednesday

We had an incredibly busy day today. A good thing! - to keep our wondering minds otherwise occupied and not yielding to the tendency to worry & fret.

Encouragements were numerous today. Though no real estate moved, the encouragements brought peace to our hearts:

1 - First thing in the morning, reading the Proverb for the day, chapter 14, I noted with interest the assurance in verse 26, "In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge."

What a great way to start the day. I went on that all day.

The rest of these are extras (notice how God supplies all we need?):

2 - A friend pointed out my all time favorite verse.

Romans 8:28, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose."

Again, why have I not applied this verse to our Journey to the Future?

Ok, we kind of did, we basically live by that premise. We've discussed that God has all things worked out for us and His plan is the best ... we only want what He wants. We only want to be where He wants us to be - do you recall reading that in my past posts?

3 - Ken pondered the situation as he tilled the orchard this afternoon. With a sudden clarity, he realized that God had certainly unexpectedly and quickly "sold" the MB place to us - the realtor had not even listed the place yet, he had only put up his sign ... when we drove on, much to the surprise of the owner and as easy as that, his place was "sold" ... God can do that for Him? He can do the same for us!

4 - "Peace, be still" - Note the comment here.

Because of our month of faith-building now though, the owner & his realtor are getting rather anxious, justifably so ... shall we not answer?

... like the Israelites did not answer in Isaiah 36:21 "And they held their peace and answered him not a word...".

According to the signed agreement, we have until mid-night, May 15th to fulfill the requirements: unconditional sale of this place.

Our family devotions for Wednesday was then the next chapter, Isaiah 37:36 where we read about the ensuing battle that Israel faced with the Assyrians who were camped against them, surrounding them - but the Israelites rested. In the morning, they found all the enemy dead - the angel of the LORD smote them in the night. Now THAT is amazing - who would have thought?

God can do anything! He can make provision for filling the requirements for us also.

HOW will He do it? In less than 24 hours we will know ... stay tuned.

To GOD be the glory both now and forever!
